| In December 2004, Supreme Ventures as part of its strategic plan to expand its offering in the gaming and entertainment market, entered into an agreement to acquire the shareholding of Prime Sports Jamaica Limited as a going concern.
Prime Sports Jamaica Limited, a private company, is the holder of gaming licences from the Betting, Gaming &
Lotteries Commission to operate up to 750 Video Lottery Gaming Terminals (slots) in Jamaica. The company operated video gaming lounges island-wide, including The Villagio at the Hilton Kingston Hotel and at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort in Montego Bay.
In July 2005 under the stewardship of the Supreme Ventures management team and equity investment, Prime Sports built and opened the flagship luxury gaming lounge, the Acropolis Gaming & Entertainment Centre, within Barbican Centre, 29 East Kings House Road in Kingston. Nestled within the Gaming Suites is a Restaurant & Bar that supports the gaming floor. The facility offers a fun-filled entertainment experience with Happy Nite Fridays, Sunday Brunch and Player Parties at regular intervals.
The company has plans for further expansion with the opening of additional gaming suites across the island. |
