Cricket fans will have much to get excited about, apart from the game of cricket being played on the field, during the inaugural Supreme Ventures Sports Betting Jamaica Cricket Festival. The Cricket Festival will be staged from April 3 - 18 at venues across the island. Title sponsor Supreme Ventures Sports Betting (SVSB) through its JUSTBET game brand, unveiled plans to pay out $1 million in total prize money, to several lucky fans attending the matches, at Chedwin Park, Kaiser Sports Club, the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium, and Sabina Park.
The SVSB Jamaica Cricket Festival - brainchild of the Jamaica Cricket Association - is a tournament involving the West Indies, Ireland, Canada and Jamaica, playing each other in Twenty20 and 50-over matches, at the locations mentioned. The tournament will also serve as a build-up to the ICC World Twenty20 which begins in the Caribbean in late April.
On each of the eight limited overs match days (April 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 18), fans attending the games will stand a chance of winning a share of the million dollar jackpot, being offered by SVSB.
To enter, all fans will need to do is fill out an entry form upon entering through the gate. The process will also include validating their entry with the number on their match ticket (holders of complimentary tickets are not eligible to enter). Attendees must then complete the competition question provided and drop the completed entry form in appropriately marked boxed at the match entrance.
On each of the eight days, one entry will be drawn from forms collected and the holder of that entry will automatically win $50,000. At the final match, one entry form received from over the course of the eight match days will be selected, and that lucky owner will win the grand prize of $600,000. The eight daily prizes of $50,000 plus the grand prize, brings the total prizes payable to an attractive $1,000,000. All entries received during the eight day period, will be entered for a chance to win the grand prize.
The grand prize winner will be announced at the end of the final match on April 18 and if the winner is not present at the final match, the winner will be contacted through information provided on their winning entry form.
SVSB's title sponsorship of this exciting Cricket Festival is valued at $5 million and will showcase its sports betting brand, JUSTBET, during the period of the Festival. SVSB's technology partner for sports betting, Intralot Jamaica Limited, has also contributed to the sponsorship.
JUSTBET is a fixed odds betting game that brings the excitement of sports betting to the Jamaican public, allowing persons to bet on the outcome of matches and events in their favourite sports, at various locations across the island.
The two official One-day International matches in the Cricket Festival (West Indies vs. Canada on April 13 and West Indies vs. Ireland on April 15) will be offered for betting, by JUSTBET.
Each match will also include live half-time/lunchtime entertainment, hosted by the "Vibes Master", Jerry D, with attractive prizes and lots of surprises.
