The Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) last evening announced the launch of the Supreme Ventures Sports Betting (SVSB) Jamaica Cricket Festival 2010.
This partnership with SVSB was established after the JCA was successful in signing a historic agreement with Cricket Ireland for an annual reciprocal tour programme over 3 years. The first element of this programme will materialize in less than 22 days, with the Irish Senior Men's team traveling to Jamaica, to participate in the SVSB Jamaica Cricket Festival series of matches from April 3 - 18, 2010. The JCA also concluded negotiations with the West Indies Cricket Board and Cricket Canada, for their respective teams to participate in this quadrangular tournament prior to their participation in the ICC WT20 2010 in the latter part of April.
SVSB's title sponsorship of this exciting Cricket Festival is valued at $4M and will showcase its JUSTBET brand for sports betting during the period of the Festival. SVSB's technology partner for sports betting, Intralot Jamaica Limited, also provided $1M towards a very attractive gate prize for patrons who attend the games. JUSTBET is a fixed odds betting game that brings the excitement of sports betting to the Jamaican public, allowing persons to bet on the outcome of matches and events in their favourite sports, at various locations across the island. The One Day International (ODI) games being played on April 13 and 15 as a part of the Cricket Festival will be offered by JUSTBET.
Other sponsors of the festival include Digicel, Jamaica Observer, RJR Communications Group, KLAS and Cable News & Sports (CNS).
The SVSB Jamaica Cricket Festival begins on April 3 with Jamaica playing Ireland in a 3 day match at Chedwin Park then they will be joined by the West Indies and Canada in 50 Overs and T20 games to be played at Sabina Park, Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium and Port Rhoades Sports Club, formerly Kaiser Sports Club over a 13 day period to end April 18, 2010.
There will be daily activities showcasing Jamaica's culture and music. Each match will also include live half-time/lunchtime performances by popular entertainers hosted by "the Vibes Master", JerryD with attractive prizes and lots of surprises.
