Lotto $240M Jackpot Hit!
Feb 11, 2010
Bookmark and Share

Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) game brand, Lotto climbed to a historic jackpot of $240M for the game draw on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. The $240M was the highest the Jackpot had climbed since the introduction of the game in 1994.

In Wednesday's draw, 1 lucky person found the right combination of the 6 Lotto numbers to win the Jackpot. The winning ticket was purchased in the parish of Manchester. There was no 2nd prize winner of the Match5 + Bonus Ball tier in the game draw.

The lucky winner will be required to claim his/her prize at the Supreme Ventures Prize Payment Centre located on the 1st floor of the Sagicor Centre in New Kingston.

Sonia Davidson, Vice President of SVL said "We are so happy that the Lotto Jackpot climbed to this landmark amount, which helped to create a great deal of buzz around the game. We look forward to the winner coming in to claim the prize and will plan a special presentation ceremony to mark this milestone in the company's gaming operations."

On November 3, 2008, the gaming company refreshed the Lotto game brand by increasing the Lotto starting Jackpot from $7M to $15M and the cost per ticket from $30 to $50. The Lotto logo was also re-designed.

Administrator, I'm almost sure supreme ventures introduce a new type of betting whereby u could sign up for "a card", top up at Pay Master and then use this card online to purchase tickets. Whats has become of that? Please advise. Thanks

I'VE SENT NUMEROUS E-MAILS REPORTING A TECHNICAL PROBLEM WHICH HAS NOT BEEN SOLVED!YOUR WEBSITE LOOKS REFRESHING BUT IS NOT AS EFFECTIVE AS THE OLD FORMAT OF DOWNLOADING .I USUALLY DON'T GET TO CHECK MY TICKETS THE SAME DAY AND CHECKING PAST RESULTS IS A NIGHTMARE!!! YOUR SYSTEM IS TOO COMPLICATED FOR LESS SAVVY PERSONS. YOUR NEW SYSTEM WILL NEVER SHOW PAST NUMBERS FOR MATCH 3 OR 4 NUMBERS ALTHOUGH WE ARE ENTITLED TO OUR WINNINGS BE IT $50 OR $9,000. THIS SERVES TO ROB JAMAICAN PEOPLE OF MONEY!

Go to past winning numbers, select the game with which you need the information, then instead of typing in your numbers, type in the date range. The system will then pull that information which is displayed in as excel sheet. should you have any problem, pleas contact our office at 754-6526 and a customer support rep can walk you through it.

How would I find the excel spread sheet for past winning numbers in stead of typing on the numbers on the site. I would not know If i won 3 #s, 4 #s etc. Kindly advise.

MancJam22 | March 19, 2010 10:34am
We have heard that story as well however no one has contacted us/come forward to claim the money.

Administrator | March 15, 2010 10:03am
I was told that person who purchased the ticket is currently incarcerated. Is this true? The story goes, the prisoner asked the Ward to purchase the ticket and it turned out that was the winning ticket. Quite amazing if you ask me. I also understand the ticket is currently in the hands of his lawyer.

Adacosta | March 15, 2010 09:43am
We haven't considered it, as once its not a part of the legislation we cannot offer it.

Administrator | February 27, 2010 04:02pm
..but has SVL thought of online betting as an option, since it would increase your profits? Considering how archaic and non-inventive the government and its legislations are, wouldn't it be in your best interest to make such a request?

IN | February 27, 2010 03:52pm
Online betting its a Government call, not us. The legislation would have to be changed to accommodate this.

Administrator | February 27, 2010 02:50pm
Since you are SVL is so keen on taking pics and publicizing the details of it's winners, why not just make it possible to purchase online? I know you would have at least one more customer in me.

IN | February 27, 2010 02:30pm
The winning numbers for the $240M Lotto Jackpot for February 10, 2010 are: 06 07 27 33 34 35 Bonus Ball: 12

Administrator | February 26, 2010 08:38am
is it possible that you supreme ventures or anyone for that matter can tell me what the winning numbers were? it can be send back to this post or my email address

Damion | February 26, 2010 08:18am
Please name the location where the winning ticket was bought, not just the parish... This would jog memories. Also the Minister under whose portfolio the Betting Gaming & Lottery Commission falls can with a "flash" of his signature waive the requirement for the publication of the names and photos of prize winers. Thus relieving winners of the stress of becoming possible TARGETS of our criminal OVERworld.

i have been buying from its inception and never, never win. seeing that so much people buy when the jackpot is high at least a total of 10 people should win.

Lottey Winner 2010 | February 21, 2010 09:52pm
Two quick points
1. You need to significantly increase the second prize payouts, especially for super lotto. This will increase your sales
2. I am doing legal researc as to whether a winners safety takes precedence over your right to publish names and photographs. Remember this is Jamaica.

Raymond | February 18, 2010 06:30pm
Hey, just wanna say congrats to SVL on reaching this milestone, continue to keep up the good work, looking forward to winning the super lotto jackpot some day, may God continue to bless you all and i wish the company even more sucess in the years to come...

Lezhn | February 18, 2010 09:28am
With the new game structure SVL now offers bigger starting jackpots and prizes for match 3. So we are able to create more winners.Whilst previously more was offered for match 5+bb, but with a smaller starting jackpot.

ADMIN, THANKS FOR POINTING OUT THAT THE INFORMATION WAS STILL ON THE WEBSITE I SAW IT.WITH REGARDS TO THE MATCH FIVE PLUS BONUS BALL I THINK YOUR UNFAIR WITH THE AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU PAY OUT, THE MAIN PRIZE IS A HUNDRED MILLION PLUS AND YOU ONLY PAYOUT 800,000 A PERSON COMES SO CLOSE AND THAT IS ALL THEY GET,COME ON THE PREVIOUS OWNER USE TO DO BETTER THAN THAT, I THINK YOUR CUSTOMER DESERVE BETTER WEV'E INVEST ALOT PERSONALLY I HAVE BEIN BUYING LOTTO FROM 1994 AND I ONLY CATCH 3 NUMBERS

Mr Bling | February 17, 2010 12:18pm
with regards to the publication being
delayed to protect the playeer, is that
a decision by the co. or can the winner
contribute to when should it be
published! and personally i think that
particular condition should be revisit
and revised else svl & bglc should be
accountable for any inconvenience may
suffer by the winner! so if you thinking
on holding on to that law, maybe you
should also think on accepting the guilt
of arming the winner...

LAS | February 17, 2010 10:58am
My take on things is, once the government gets its tax and the financial records of SVL is made public all of that photo taking and broadcasting isnt needed. I think SVL should find a way to have the clause revamped or removed from their legal paperwork with the Gov. In light of how the crime situation is in JA, I think this should be considered and i am speaking from experience having been robbed at gun point in my own home. If I ever win I wouldnt want my name published or photo. Not fair.

Jazlene | February 17, 2010 02:08am
Well, I am from Manchester, I hope is somebody I know. Because I plan to beg them some. Geez, I was so hoping to win too, probably should have spent mostly on QP's instead of making up my own combination's. I am going to win the Super Lotto though, you watch. SVL, you can publish my picture all you want, but give me at least a year so I can leave the area I am living in so nobody will find me.

Adacosta | February 16, 2010 08:47pm
No problem, all you need to do now is make contact with our corporate office at 754-6526 so that the necessary arrangements can be made.

Administrator | February 16, 2010 11:34am
I want to be able to view the mid-day,evening and the drive time draws at the same time......just a little tweaking of your new set up will do that.

Davy Hemmings | February 16, 2010 11:29am
There is discretion from SVL. In certain cases we delay the publishing of the winner/s to protect the player. However at some point the publication of the winner has to be done. This falls under the integrity section of our license issued by the Betting Gaming & Lotteries Commission.

Administrator | February 15, 2010 01:08pm
How do you define the word discretion. The games rules state that svl may at its "discretion" publish the name, photo and address of a prize winner. With this said having all photos and personal information published isnt mandatory as expressed in the rules agreed on by svl and the gamaing association. SVL can excercise some "descrition" and decide if the photo can be taken. Therefore based on what svl has as a rule it means all this publicity isnt mandatory.

Jazlene | February 15, 2010 12:45pm
Yes it includes Lucky5 and it doesn't matter the size of the jackpot. Once it is a jackpot game all photos have to be published.

Administrator | February 15, 2010 07:27am
When you guys say all jackpot winners, does that include the Lucky 5 jackpot also even though its a smaller jackpot?

Jessy | February 15, 2010 03:37am
Under our license granted by the BGLC, a winner doesn't reserve the right to decide if his or her photos are published. The back of all our lottery tickets specifically outlines the conditions of claiming a prize. Hence the player would have automatically accepted all the conditions that applies when they purchase a lottery ticket. Regarding the winner in the States you mentioned had asked for their name to be annonymous, we can't speak to it as we are not privy to the conditions of their license.

Administrator | February 14, 2010 08:39pm
What if a lottery winner is totally against having their photos published? Do they have to relinquish their prize? I personally think that a prize winner should reserve the right to decide whether or not their photos and name should be made public in light of th crime infested society we live in. Recently in Texas they state respected the wishes of their jackpot winner to remain anonymous. As a lotto player if winning may cost me my privacy or possibly my life maybe it isnt worth playing.

Jazlene | February 14, 2010 07:50pm
That's the reason BGLC had incorporated in the license that all jackpot winners must be published so that that there is legitimacy with the game. Regarding observation of our draw process, you can call our corporate office and we will schedule a time convenient to you to observe any of the draw process. Combinations can be obtained from the terminal operator or you may call our customer support department who will provide you with further details on combo purchases. Tel: 754-6526

Administrator | February 14, 2010 06:16pm
i think that the winners have to be published, pictures and all. i'm sure that people want to see that actual random people are winning. but i'm wondering what more could SLV do to convince people that no corruption is involved?? can we get to see the balls and the machine being examined? it would only take a few extra mins of TV time. and where can i get info on buyin pre-combinations from the terminals?

Daren | February 14, 2010 05:17pm
Winning this jackpot may become a nightmare. Jamaica has become kidnapping and extortion capital. What if the winnings and the exposure cost this "lucky" person his or her life. Wouldn't that make a lovely P.R. campaign. Re-think the big presentation ceremony and the picture publication.

BRIAN HANSON | February 14, 2010 07:51am
Under our license issued by the Betting, Gaming & Lotteries Commission (BGLC), photos of all Jackpot winners has to be taken and published.

Melvin Bartley | February 13, 2010 01:15pm
there is no need for a big presentation,
if the jackpot was won by one person as
was reported, i am certain that the
individual would appreciate a little
privacy. there is no need for photographs
and media attention.

The share winnings for Lotto is currently listed on the site under daily winnings. With regards to the past winning numbers you don't necessarily have to input your numbers in the spaces provided. You can select a date range and the system will pull the results for that period. We are currently looking at adding the share winnings to the past winning number search.

Administrator | February 12, 2010 03:06pm

Mrbling | February 12, 2010 02:47pm
