L-R: Tashania Stennett-Brown – Human Resource Administrator – Coral Cliff and Gwendolyn Woodit – Manager of Garland Home for Children

For the third consecutive year, institutions within Kingston and St. Andrew, St. Catherine, Clarendon, St. James and Westmoreland, will benefit through kind donations from gaming giant Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL).

The lottery provider will donate $1M, which was pledged by the SVL Group Staff members, to provide well needed assistance for eight institutions recommended by staff. The SVL staff opted to forego having a Staff Christmas Party and offered to use the funds to donate items or conduct treats for the less fortunate.

The institutions that will benefit from the philanthropic effort of the SVL Staff are: St. Monica's Home and Strathmore Gardens Place of Safety (Spanish Town), Mary's Child - Mustard Seed and UWI Department of Psychiatry (Kingston/St. Andrew), May Pen Hospital - Paediatric Ward, Braeton Basic School (Portmore), Women's Centre of Jamaica Foundation (Sav-la-mar) and Garland Hall Memorial Children's Home (Montego Bay).

The presentations will be organized and executed by the SVL staff members of the various business units within the SVL Group.

The SVL Group consists of Supreme Ventures Lotteries Limited (SVLL), Supreme Ventures Financial Services (SVFS), Supreme Ventures Sports Betting (SVSB) and Prime Sports (Jamaica) Limited, which operates the Acropolis and Coral Cliff Gaming Lounges.

Over the last two years, a total of 29 institutions benefitted from the kind contribution of $4.3M through these outreach projects. Additionally, SVL has been assisting with projects of this nature since its inception, from its corporate budget and has so far contributed over $5B to worthy causes.

SVL has committed to continue finding various ways in which it can contribute positively to enhancing the lives of the less fortunate.

That is an outstanding thing that the
staff have forgone having parties and
instead have donated to these worthy
causes. Hopefully more companies start
similar projects to help the less needy.
